23 years Haskins has been taking care of my home wonderful people very perfesinal from the front door to their talented techs do the smart thing an call them you will be happy you did.
Had good service from these folks in the past, so we called them when our split-level went out, to do some warranty work. All of this was explained over the phone, prior to the visit, down to the make, model, and error code. Once the tech arrived, he did a cursory examination of the unit, then explained that Haskins doesn't service split-level units, even under warranty. He then charged us for the visit and left. We paid a hundred bucks for them to come out and do nothing. The explanation could have been handled over the phone, but then they wouldn't have been able to charge us. Bonus: The folks actually doing the work are charging *less* for the visit, and they're driving further. Edit: Rating changed after the owner reached out. I really believe these are good guys, still.
I highly recommend Haskins. We have used Haskins for years. They are always incredibly responsive, accommodating, professional and candid. When our heat went out in the middle of the winter, they had a tech at our house, same day, within an hour. They helped us work with (read: battle) our home warranty company. They have maintained our units and are always quick to respond to any issues. We’ve never had any problems with the work they have performed. Years back, we had a seasonal service plan through the leading chain in our area, but have since cancelled. In our experience, Haskins has better prices, faster response times and better equipment than the big chain companies (we’ve price compared jobs). We will only use Haskins and are quick to recommend them to everyone.
I was very impressed with the young man who worked on my heat pump. He was very polite. I’ve been using Haskins for a long time. I’ve never had a problem with them or the technicians. They are very professional and polite. I will continue to call Haskins anytime I have a problem or need my unit serviced.
After trying three or four HVAC companies over the years and being completely dissatisfied with them, we called Haskins to come and inspect our AC system. Our main concern was the high humidity in the home, even after encapsulating the crawlspace and installing a dehumidifier. Mind you, we had our heat pump inspected yearly (by these previous other companies), and were always charged a $60 - $100 "visit fee" and told the unit looked great. To my knowledge, no work other than a visual inspection was ever done. Then Barry from Haskins came. He immediately noticed that our heat pump's condensate drain was improperly installed and he further suggested that we have our evaporator coils cleaned. It's been 24 hours since Chris came to do the work and 1) our humidity levels are stable and where they need to be and 2) the "stale" smell in the air that we had learned to accept (because no one ever diagnosed or fixed it!) is gone entirely. Finally, we've found someone we can trust!
